On Tues 22nd May, Famed Michelin starred chef Michael Wignall, previously from Gidleigh Park in Devon, is bringing his incredibly skilled and technically accomplished dishes to join James Knappett at Kitchen Table, for one night only.
Classically trained, his food is distinctively self-styled, highly technical and carefully crafted, with every detail refined and perfected – And his reputation of working with suppliers and producers, ensures all elements are fresh and sustainable. His experience of freshly cooked food and multi-cultural cuisine started at a young age and his extensive travels across the Far East, to the United States and Europe, was hugely influential in determining the direction of his menus.
Michael’s professional career started at Broughton Park, under Paul Heathcote, moving with him to his restaurant in Longbridge, Preston, followed by a spell working with John Burton Race at L’Ortolan. Coveted roles have included Pennyhill Park, where he was awarded two Michelin stars for The Latymer and became one of the top restaurants in the country. And most recently, Gidleigh Park, where he retained the restaurant’s two Michelin stars and was lauded the highest profile culinary takeover of 2016 by the likes of Jay Rayner.
The evening will consist of one sitting at 7:00pm, tickets are priced at £160 per person for 12 courses, beverage and service not included. Regretfully, during our special events, we are not able to accommodate any dietary requirements.
