We are now serving Assembly coffee, offering pour over service at the table.

Assembly is a London based coffee roasting company, who work in collaboration with the owners and operators of independent cafes and restaurants to offer coffees of uncompromising quality.

We are currently serving Rwanda, Kirezi, this coffee was selected by the Assembly group for its superior sweetness and complex acidity. Named Kirezi, after the mill with the same name, this coffee is from Nyanza in the Southern Province of Rwanda. It is entirely Red Bourbon and is a washed coffee.

On Tuesday 5th April, we are super excited to invite to Kitchen Table, our new favourite street food traders in London Ta Ta Eatery.

The chef duo, Zijun Meng and Ana Goncalves behind Ta Ta Eatery, come via Viajante, Corner Room, Chiltern Firehouse and now regularly trade at Druid Street Market, Street Feast and Broadway Market with their pop up brand, where they serve delicious, contemporary Chinese food in the shape of rice bowls, congee and ricewiches (yes, a rice sandwich).

“For us rice is a vessel for food; it is very much like bread, that is used for burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, etc. Rice in principle, is a simpler process to cook yet it requires a lot of knowledge and love.
After the noodle trend of last year we believe rice has the potential to be the next big thing in London.
With our experience we want to bring another trend, to the London food scene – RICE.” Ta Ta Eatery

The guest chef evening will begin at 7pm and tickets are priced at £125 per person for 12 courses, beverage and service not included. Regretfully, during our special events, we are not able to accommodate any dietary requirements.

There’s no doubt this is going to be amazing, so make sure you book your seat, while you have the chance!

To book a seat for this event, please email kitchentable@bubbledogs.co.uk

Please note to reserve a seat for this event we will require credit card details and a non-refundable deposit will be taken a week prior to the event.

Food for thought in Norway

Final

James and Sandia recently went on a foraging trip to the refreshing setting of Norway, to take part in a collaboration event to platform Norway’s very best produce and suppliers at Lysverket – the most pedigreed restaurant in Bergen.

Executive Chef Christopher Haatuft (Per Se, Blue Hill at Stone Barns) invited some old friends over from the UK, including James and Sandia and fellow chef talent, Andrew Wong (A.Wong), Brad Macdonald (Lockhart) and Russell Bateman (Colette’s). Christopher hosted the team of young and upcoming British talent for a weekend of hunting and foraging, where the team got to fish in the flowing waters of the fjords and visit Mangalistas raised in the mountains in Bergen by ex-chef Anders Handal. All ingredients were then used as part of the main elements for two nights of collaboration dinners at Lysverket.

On Monday 22nd February we welcomed Head Chef, Gareth Ward from the Michelin starred restaurant, Ynyshir Hall in Wales.

Having spent his years working across the UK’s leading restaurants including, two starred Sat Bains in Nottingham and one starred Hambleton and Seaham Hall in Durham, Gareth joined the superb fine dining restaurant in Wales at Ynyshir Hall, as Head Chef in 2013.

Specialising solely in tasting menus, Gareth’s food is innovative, fresh and light with the main emphasis, focused on fresh, local produce. The set tasting menu for the guest chef evening at Kitchen Table, very much embodied Gareth’s cooking ethos with highlights from the night, including Welsh lamb ribs with freshly snipped mint, wild duck and Welsh wagu.
