On Tuesday 5th July join us for an intimate evening where James Knappett and Ken Holland from North Country Organic will be creating a unique vegetarian tasting menu. Described as the “King of Crops” the evening will be an organic tasting journey of vibrantly coloured vegetables and intense flavours.

Ken Holland is a specialist grower from Northumberland, UK. He grows unique and lesser known foods for chefs and grows over 80 varieties of vegetables in his walled garden, situated on a 300-year-old property in Little Harle.

Ken and his wife Tracy Holland have been running the family vegetable business for over 10 years, making his name with his super-fresh organic vegetables, in particular his weird and wonderful heritage varieties, and more recently the micro living baby vegetables. Ken provides only a very few selected restaurants in the UK, including Michelin-star restaurants such as, Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria, Tom Kitchin of The Kitchin in Edinburgh and of course our very own Kitchen Table with fresh and unusual crops – With a waiting list of about 40 restaurants rooting for his sought-after vegetables, Ken is somewhat of a legend, a true local food hero.

The evening will consist of one sitting at 7:00pm, tickets are priced at £125 per person for 12 courses, beverage and service not included. Regretfully, during our special events, we are not able to accommodate any dietary requirements.
